It all began in
1986. After 50 years of fishing as a main and only job, Anthony
aka Ninu and his two sons Rosario and Emmanuel decided to start
a business in catering by opening a restaurant specialising in
fresh fish with the name Ir-Rizzu.
Ir-Rizzu is a nickname given to Ninu in
his childhood for being a good swimmer. At the time there was
Turu (Arthur) Rizzo a record holder for swimming the Malta
Sicily channel and so the surname Rizzo turned out Rizzu
